About

About Me

I’m Matheus Thurler, a DevOps & Platform Engineer at CI&T based in Brazil. I specialize in Google Cloud Platform, Infrastructure as Code, and Site Reliability Engineering.

I’ve been working in tech since 2012, building and operating production infrastructure at scale. Today my focus is on helping teams ship faster and more reliably through platform engineering, automation, and cloud-native practices.

I also run a homelab with Apache CloudStack and Kubernetes — my personal playground for testing ideas before they hit production.

What I Work With

  • Cloud: Google Cloud Platform (GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Build, Vertex AI)
  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible, NixOS
  • Containers & Orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, ArgoCD
  • CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, GitOps workflows
  • Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Cloud Monitoring
  • Languages: Go, Python, Shell

Content & Teaching

I create content in Portuguese about DevOps, Cloud, and automation — bridging the gap between homelab experiments and production-grade infrastructure.

  • YouTube: Tutorials, tool comparisons, and hands-on demos at @matheusthurler
  • Blog: Deep dives and written guides right here
  • Course: A complete DevOps learning path focused on GCP (coming soon on Hotmart)

Current Goals

  • 🏆 Google Cloud Innovator program
  • 🤖 Google GEAR — Generative AI for DevOps
  • 📚 Launching a DevOps course series
  • 📝 Weekly content on YouTube and this blog

Let’s Connect

I’m always open to conversations about DevOps, cloud architecture, and content creation.
